Posso apresentar finalmente a concretização de mais um projecto. Desta feita é um jogo de tabuleiro cujo tema (e nome) é o Contrabando em Portugal na altura da ditadura.
A ideia/ concepção da mecânica e conteúdos, tal como do design, é do Hugo, que após vários anos a falar em jogos de tabuleiro tem um dos seus objectivos profissionais realizado.
As ilustrações são da minha autoria (com o acompanhamento por parte do Hugo).
Infelizmente não estará à venda, mas podem sempre contactar a Territórios do Côa para saberem como obter um exemplar.
I can finnaly show you the latest project in which I've been working. It's a board game based on (and named) Smuggling that happen in the portuguese dictatorship time.
The mechanics, contents and design were created by Hugo, that finnaly has one of his professional goals fulfilled. I made the illustrations with him directing me.

Ao contrário do que em Portugal se pensa, os jogos de tabuleiro não são uma coisa do passado! Basta fazerem uma visita ao website do Board Game Geek (onde encontrarão todos os nomes da lista de jogos que dou mais abaixo).
Até há 6 anos atrás o meu conhecimento de jogos de tabuleiro limitava-se tristemente ao Monopólio e ao típico jogo do "avança duas casas/ perdes-te o turno/ recua uma casa". O primeiro jogo a sério que conheci foi o Zombies!!!. O meu cérebro levou algum tempo até atinar com o factor movimento-cartas, mas a partir do momento em que percebeu que era uma questão de estratégia jogávamos sempre que podiamos. E a partir dai continuámos a comprar e a jogar pois é algo que nos mantém entretidos, a exercitar o cérebro e a fazer algo bem mais interessante do que ver televisão (coisa que não vemos!).
In Portugal many people believe that board games are a thing of the past. They aren't! You just need to visit Board Game Geek website to discover endless board games (including the ones listed bellow) and millions of people that play them (thankfully).
Until 6 years ago I only knew Monopoly and some really basic board games. The first real board game I played was Zombies!!!. My brain took some time to adapt to the strategie thing between movement and cards but after that, I played it as many times as I could. Since then we bought more games because it's something that entertains us, makes us think beyond the basics of daily life and it's far more interesting than watching television (which we don't watch!).
